Harris Crane & Equipment Hire is a locally established business with owners that have been working in the area for over 30 years. Our owner Andrew is Yamba born and bred and a boilermaker by trade who built his first business, Andrew Harris Engineering, in 1991.

Shortly after, as the need for more equipment grew, Andrew saw an opportunity to hire out some of the equipment he was using to help others in the area and thus, Harris Crane & Equipment Hire was born. What started off as a few tractor cranes and one Franna crane has now grown into an incredible fleet of cranes and trucks, suitable for a range of different projects.

Our range of cranes currently includes a 60t- 80t Tadano Faun Slew Crane, a Terex Demag Ac 40/2L 40t Slew Crane, an 18t Truck Mount Slew Crane and a 12t and 20t Franna Crane. We also have a selection of different trucks available for hire for every application, height, access and weight requirement.

While we are based in Yamba, our team is willing to travel out to areas such as Ballina, Grafton, Coffs Harbour and Lismore for jobs longer than an hour. The Process:

Having serviced Yamba residents for over 30 years, we believe we have perfected a streamlined process that allows us to make hiring our equipment a stress-free procedure. When you contact Harris Crane & Equipment Hire, you will chat to one of our friendly team who will ask you a few questions about what you need equipment for.

If you know exactly what you want to hire, we will book the job in straight away. However, if you’re unsure, we will chat to you about the project and help you decide on the best piece of equipment for the job. Sometimes this requires an onsite visit to measure and check, however, we don’t charge our customers for this. Once the site has been assessed, we will book in the job.

Our team are experienced and can help you decide on the right crane for the job during the consultation process. We have a range of different sized cranes available for hire and are confident we have a crane suitable for your project.

Do you have cranes for emergency hire?

Yes, we can hire out our cranes for last minute emergency jobs.

Do you provide lift charts and plans for the cranes?

We have all the lift charts for the cranes and can also provide lift plans if required.

What is your minimum hire time?

Our minimum hire time is one hour.

What are your safety certifications?

All our cranes are CraneSafe® certified and driven by operators who are fully licenced, ticketed and insured.
